Why is it that on the days you would like to be alone most, someone or something will always there to prevent that. The beaches are a microcosm of humanity not so human. It is more like a seagull colony; sqwaking, whaling and loud communications between the daily inhabitants.
There are beach rules that need to be followed. unspoken rules and codes of behavior that if violated could cause potential expulsion from the beach or at least it should.
Minimun distance from your neighbor; this depends on how crowded the beach is on a specific day.
On a not too busy day 15 feet between blankets within the life guard zone you are in.
Busy weekend on a sunny 90 degree day the minimum goes down but not to the point where you start encroahing on personal space of others 5 feet is the closest you should ever be from anyone that you are not actually hanging around with, i.e. strangers.
You should never be so close that you are in someone elses umbrella shade, this is a major no-no.
More to come on beach behaviour tomorrow
